I have known the Barracuda for years and have kept coming back for their amazing Lasagne that is famous for a reason!
They have renovated recently giving the old restaurant a more modern feel while keeping the cozy atmosphere.
There werde lots of tourists this time around but the Barracuda does have a big number of local regulars as well.
Location is great, just two minutes off the finest part of the Prom. -

I came here on a Monday night, looking for a place to enjoy a nice meal. I wanted to sit at a booth, and the host told me that it's reserved for groups of 4. Not only were there plenty of booths in the restaurant, but I was literally the only customer there. After insisting that they'd make an exception, I was told to leave and go elsewhere.
If you want a pompous French dining experience, then this is the place for you. -

The seafood risotto is far way too salty, and when I checked with waiters, both told me the same: "it's seafood, of course is salty!". I'm so upset now. And would never come back again. Sorry.

The place we were looking for that I had researched on Yelp closed down and after walking for 5ks we found this place.
No table cloth on the table just a table runner which is a bit weird. Wasnt crowded or busy, maybe 4 other tables eating.
Ordered the mini margherreta, the chicken with creamy lemon sauce and the veal with mushroom sauce.
Mini margherreta had a base of store bought nacho dipping sauce and loads of cheese. Wasnt terrible but wasn't good, the place isnt cheap and lets face it you dont go out to eat something you would put together with left overs at home.
They didn't give us plates to eat the pizza... so was really awqward and messy eating off the service pan.
Other two meals were simple and filling but no flavour. Something my wife whips up in 20 minutes at home.
Service was friendly.
Really curious on the rave reviews on this place...either low standards for some people or maybe things have changed. -

Came here on our last night in Nice, and eating here was likely the food highlight of the whole trip. We mainly chose it since it was so close to our hotel, as we had someone in our group who had suffered an injury (needed to go to the ER) earlier in the day. We arrived at 7:45, with 11 diners in tow (didn't call ahead for a reservation, bad on us). They welcomed us with open arms, and fabulous food. If we'd found this earlier in the trip, we'd have likely come here multiple times (but called ahead in the future).
